Through our partnership with the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services (ADRS) and its Accessing Potential Through Assistive Technology (APTAT) program, LITE serves as one of four demo and loan centers in the state of Alabama, increasing opportunities for our teacher candidates to receive hands-on experience using AT in P-12 educational settings. We have a variety of AT housed in McLure Library with some of it available to checkout for student teaching experiences.
