Assistive Technology

Assistive Technology (AT)

Through our partnership with the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services (ADRS) and its Accessing Potential Through Assistive Technology (APTAT) program, LITE serves as one of four demo and loan centers in the state of Alabama, increasing opportunities for our teacher candidates and the local community to receive hands-on experience using assistive technologies (AT) in P-12 educational settings. As a result of this partnership, LITE has a large inventory of AT in its lending library for students to explore and use for class assignments and field experiences. In addition, community members interested in learning more about these technologies can visit the lab for training, demonstrations and short-term loans.

To view the complete list of our AT, as well all other instructinal technology tools, visit the lending library page.
